HOUSTON – The NFL season officially kicked off with the start of free agency.
Here's a list of the free agents who have signed with the Texans or signed with another team:

WELCOME, Y'ALL
- Shane Lechler -- Resigns with the Texans. He wrapped up his 17th season in the league turning in one of his best seasons as a pro.
- Nick Novak -- Resigns with Houston. was consistent all season, and had a streak of 16 consecutive makes as he became one of the NFL’s top-rated kickers.
GOING, GOING, GONE
- Brock Osweiler -- He was reportedly traded to Cleveland after just one season in Houston, allowing the Texans to unload his massive contract.
- John Simon -- He's reportedly signing with division rival Indianapolis.
- Quintin Demps -- Multiple media reports say Demps signed a 3-year deal with the Chicago Bears. Demps played the last two seasons for Houston, and was a Texan from 2010-12. He started 13 games for the Texans in 2016.
- A.J. Bouye -- According to media reports, Bouye will leave the Texans to join Jacksonville. He was a top target of the Texans to resign, but it appears he won't be returning.
