HOUSTON – Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner made good on a bet with Ivy Taylor, the mayor of San Antonio.
The two mayors agreed that the loser of the Houston Rockets-San Antonio playoff series would wear the winning team's jersey and post a photo on social media.
The Spurs won the playoff series 4-2, so during part of Wednesday's Houston City Council meeting, Turner wore his custom-madeSpurs jersey.
He also posted a photo on social media of himself wearing the jersey, with the message: "Next year, Rockets, next year."
In keeping good on my friendly wager w/ @IvyRTaylor, I wore my custom @spurs jersey to work today 😑😎. Next year @HoustonRockets next year... pic.twitter.com/9trxgSmtL6
