Houston Dynamo fans flood LA

Fans remain faithful after loss

LOS ANGELES – A sea of orange flooded across the City of Angels over the weekend to cheer on the Houston Dynamo.

Making the 150 mile trek for the title fight, a large contingent of the Texian army assembled on the eve of the MLS Cup. Filing into sports bars Friday night along the west Coast to toast the Dynamo.

Hours later, Orange Nation carried the party over to the parking lot before heading inside the Home Depot Center where they hoped their presence would help provide at least the feel of Houston's home field.

Even with the loss, Houston fans said it's been an exceptional year for the team.

"You fight so hard to get into this position. All year long, you put in all the effort you possibly can, all the hard work you look back on. It's just, you're not disappointed," said Brad Davis, Dynamo midfielder, "I'm extremely proud of what this group of guys continues to do. But without a doubt, it's difficult."

Galaxy beat they Dynamo 3-1 in the MLS Cup on Saturday. Even so, head coach Dominic Kinnear said he's proud of the way his team played.

"Last year, you could hold your hand up and say we didn't really get it going. We played well today... Gave ourselves a chance to win the game, and that's the tough part," said Kinnear.
