Houston, Chicago Mayors bet on Texans-Bears, Astros-Cubs

HOUSTON – The Chicago Bears and Cubs are in town to face our Texans and Astros, and Mayor Sylvester Turner is confident enough that our teams will win that he's made a bet with Chicago's mayor. The prize? Food.

Turner tweeted to Mayor Rahm Emanuel about a friendly wager, since the Chicago teams are competing against the Houston teams this weekend.

"Hey @ChicagosMayor. Your @ChicagoBears and @Cubs are in Houston to play my @HoustonTexans and @astros. How about a friendly wager?"

Emanuel replied back, "We'll take that bet, but are you sure you want to make it? What's the deal?"

Turner said that each baseball game is worth one point, while the football game is two.

"If you win, we'll send brisket. If we win, you send deep dish pizza. Deal?"

"You're on! And we're hungry!" Emanuel replied.
