Houston Astros release 2017 season schedule

'Stros open season April 3 vs. Mariners at Minute Maid Park

HOUSTON – The Houston Astros released the team's 2017 season schedule.

The 'Stros open up the season with a four-game series at home April 3 against the Seattle Mariners. The Astros then host the Kansas City Royals for three games.

The Boston Red Sox will visit June 16-18 and the New York Yankees will come to town June 30 through July 2.

The Astros will play intrastate rival Texas Rangers 10 times at MMP, with the first series May 1-4. The two other series are June 12-14 and Aug. 29-31.

Houston will host three National League East teams for interleague play. The New York Mets (Sept. 1-3), the Atlanta Braves (May 9-10) and the Washington Nationals (Aug. 22-24) will all come to the Juice Box in 2017.

Game start times have not yet been released.
