The Ogwumike sisters both played at Cy-Fair, before attending Stanford University and now both play in the WNBA. Chiney plays for the Connecticut Sun, but underwent microfracture surgery last January and missed the entire 2015 season. She has recently been working as a basketball analyst for ESPN.

Nneka will be entering her fifth season in the WNBA with the Los Angeles Sparks, where she holds career averages of 15.1 points and 7.4 rebounds.

At Aldine Nimitz high school, Griner was tabbed as the nation's top player by all of the recruiting services.

Griner has spent three seasons in the WNBA after a standout career at Baylor. She won the WNBA Championship with the Phoenix Mercury in 2014 and was a finalists for the 2012 Olympic team. She took herself out of contention for a roster spot citing a family illness and schedule concerns.

The USA Basketball Women’s National Team will conduct a training camp Feb. 21-23 at the University of Connecticut. Athletes taking part in the minicamp, which is expected to be the final training before the 2016 U.S. Olympic Women’s Basketball Team is selected, will be announced at a later date and will come from the pool of finalists.
