The NBA Drama

It appears as if one major drama has ended in the NBA.

The Kevin Durant-Russell Westbrook thing. Their on-going drama will no longer fill the time on NBA talk shows or any other stupid format where one player not talking to another is the basis for the entire show.

Seriously, do adults really spend time wondering if K.D. OR R.W. are buddies or not? I guess they do since ESPN and others sure milked it for all it was worth.

Turns out it wasn't worth anything at all. The two may have trumped the whole thing up to begin with. I take liberty with a variation on the word Trump. When Kevin left OKC to work in OAK, the former best pals didn't speak to each other. We guessed it was because Kevin took too many spare sweat socks with him to NOCAL.

It isn't about the money. Get this. Both make $26,540,100 FOR ONE SEASON. That is just over $327,000 A GAME. Who could be mad about anything or anybody? If they complain about taxes I GET THAT. So it is back to reality for the league. Another 3 months and the real season starts. The Rockets go back to work Friday. They can hit last year's season high of 41 wins if they win in New Orleans. James Harden might have wanted to stay in NOLA after Sunday's game but i bet he came back to Houston. Practice is important especially after his team only scored 192 vs. the East.

I think the next drama to hit the league will be if the newly traded Cousins kid can get along with the NOLA SUPERSTAR and world champion points scorer, Anthony Davis. Or perhaps it might be here in town if BART ENIS starts dressing flashier than Calvin Murphy. Now that would be a story.
