Daily Craig: Week in review

I was sad to learn in person the Astros will not go unbeaten. In fact they won't be a .500  team going to Milwaukee. For those who loved the Astros of 2 or 3 years ago, you were seeing them the last 2 games. The season only has 159 games to go and the locals won't have a home game until Monday when the Royals come to town.  I also learned the city showed off it's best side by hosting one of the best FINAL FOUR TITLE GAMES ever. It was also the week the pathetic Rockets slid into 9th in the West. Worst attitude and lack of leadership in years. Losing to the Suns should relegate them to the D LEAGUE.

I also learned the Masters defending champ wasn't interested in being a one time winner as he led the field after 1 at the big deal in Augusta. The pronouncers working the tourney was a mix of CBS and ESPN TYPES. Mike Tirico was in Butler cabin. Why would you put guys INDOORS at the world's most beautiful course?  I guess because CBS didn't want them seen in public. Tom Rinaldi does  the post round  interviews and called SHANE LOWRY of Ireland,  Shane McLOWRY. Huh?  You have one job and you talk to one guy and screw it up?

I don't want to take Tom to the wood shed for one error, but seriously?  I once did a feature on the caddy of Nancy Lopez at the LPGA'S U.S. OPEN. She was great in describing how helpful the guy was. I, of course, a total pro, forgot the guy's last name. I said to Nancy, could you spell his last name for our graphics person? She said sure.  S-M-I-T-H.  I wish I hadn't asked. But, at least I got it right. We are still searching for the 1st patron to yell  "get in the hole".
