Daily Craig: In case you missed it

HOUSTON – Ok, so yesterday you decided to skip the sports news and concentrate on your job. If that is the case, I will do my duty and that duty is to bring you up to speed. THE TEXANS had the following news:  "It is early in camp, and I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the team wearing shorts and no pads."  Other notes of interest included one guy who missed one day and was back with his team because? He just wants to do what is right for his family. JJ insists back surgery is normal and he'll not lift 600 pound tires for at least another week. As for the new QB?  It is hotter here than my mother's oven. Yes, he did enjoy throwing to the guy who is just taking care of his family.

The baseball team traded a 33 year old for an 18 year old. Here's the deal on that. The 18 year old gets $10 per hour and the older guy was making $12 million. He would also become a "not so free agent" shortly and I suppose he is now taking out Canadian citizenship papers. The locals also sent former big league reliever, Josh Fields, to the Dodgers for the rights to Vin Scully and another Cuban infielder. We now have 3 CUBANS and no cigars.

The U.S. Olympic hoops team played NIGERIA here in town. I COULD DO JOKES ABOUT a NIGERIAN Prince sending you millions in exchange for personal info. I will avoid those terrible jokes and point out Hakeem could still play for either team.
