Daily Craig: A Sunday off

HOUSTON – With the TEXANS having their pants pulled down by the PATS on a Thursday it meant fans of the Houston team had Sunday off.  What do you suppose those fans did with nothing to worry about? Some stayed longer at the church of their choice. With no home game they could throw a few extra bucks into the plate that was passed. Some were seen talking to their friends or neighbors. Some were in the park tossing a ball to a kid or a pooch. It is something we seldom see on football Sundays. I even saw a man reading the morning paper. Shocking.

LSU fans were still recovering from the win then the loss at Auburn. At least they had Les Miles to kick around. However, he got kicked late in the morning. To the curb. Les is now LESS at RED STICK, after being fired having won 77 percent of his games in just under 12 full seasons, 114 wins and just 34 losses. Some coaches would stop dipping if they had a record like that. I bet he coaches again and certainly won't be hurting with walk away money.

Also on the Texans-less day the Astros finally beat the Angels to stay barely alive for the second wildcard. That was finished about the time the grass had been cut and a trip to the grocery store. Things you would never do when the locals are playing football. Don't worry, things return to normal this coming Sunday.
