HOUSTON - Your Houston Astros have one player at this month's All-Star Game, and now you can help get another 'Stro onto the American League roster.
Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was named to his second All-Star Game as a reserve. Houston starter Dallas Keuchel can join him if Astros fans get out the vote.
Keuchel is among five AL pitchers on the ballot for the 2014 All-Star Game Final Vote, which will determine the final All-Star player in each league. Kechel, who's 8-5 with a 3.06 ERA this season, is on the AL ballot along with Cleveland's Corey Kluber, Detroit's Rick Porcello, the Angels' Garrett Richards and the White Sox's Chris Sale.
Astros fans and Miami Marlins fans teaming up to get their players voted onto the All-Star team. Astros fans are encouraged to obviously vote for Keuchel in the AL, but also to vote for the Marlins' Casey McGehee in the NL. Marlins fans are being urged to do the same for the Astros and Keuchel.
Voting ends Thursday, July 10 at 3 p.m. CT.
