All in the family with the Fiedorowicz's

HOUSTON – Between the lines, Houston Texans tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz is a 6 feet 7 inch tall, 260 pound giant who is living out his dream.

Fiedorowicz was a third-round draft pick out of Iowa in 2014. He loves his life in Houston and is a Texans fan favorite, but his biggest fan made the move from his home state of Illinois: His mother Lee Ann.

“She’s so happy,” said Fiedorowicz. “I come back and she’s says she’s so glad I’m home. It’s awesome.”

“It’s really life as usual,” said Lee Ann Fiedorowicz. “I’d miss it if I didn’t have it.”

Lee Ann is never far away from her 24-year-old son. They share a home, and with the demands of the NFL, she is there to offer support, cook and do whatever she can to help C.J. be successful with the Texans.

“He doesn’t have to worry about a thing,” said Lee Ann. “Even while decorating, he tells me I really enjoy what you do.”

“I couldn’t ask for anything more. I get home and food is made, the house is clean. It’s great, too, because it’s someone to be here and spend time with. I love to hang out with her after a long day,” C.J. said.

Lee Ann doesn’t have to work, but enjoys staying busy working at Quail Valley Golf Club in Missouri City. There, she has been able to meet new friends and, of course, occasionally talk football.

“This is the best place in Missouri City I could ask for,” she said during a break recently at the club. “Quail Valley Golf Club is only five minutes from our house. It’s really what I love. It’s golf, happy people, quality people and I made a lot of friends.”

When the Texans' season kicks off on Sept. 11 against the Chicago Bears, Lee Ann will be there with family and friends cheering on her son.
