HOUSTON -

The Houston Texans announced that linebacker Brian Cushing will have surgery this week to repair his ACL.

Cushing is out for the season after tearing his ACL in the Texans win against the Jets earlier in October.

Cushing will travel to Pensacola, Florida for a Thursday surgery performed by Dr. James Andrews according to Nick Scurfield of the Texans website.

Rehab will then begin for Cushing who will be ready for training camp next summer.
