The latest product of the Owls recruiting efforts in Canada, Godber was named a city and provincial all star as a senior for coach Len Gurr at St. Andrews College. A three-year starter for the Saints and was ranked as the #2 player in Canada this year… Led St. Andrews to the Canadian Independent School Athletic Association title at the Rogers Center in Toronto… Was selected to play for the World Team in the 2012 IFAF International Bowl which was held in Austin.

Named the AP’s 3A Defensive Player of the Year for coach Bob Gillis while leading El Campo to the 3-A Division I State Championship game… Earned consensus All-State honors as well as earning a spot on Max Preps Medium School High School All America Team… Joined teammate and fellow Rice signee Trey Martin to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s All Texas High School second team at the conclusion of the season… Had been named one of DCTF’s Top 10 Tight Ends heading into his senior year… Also named All Greater Houston and Victoria-area MVP… Member of the National Honor Society and a four-time Academic All District selection… Junior Ambassador of the Chamber of Commerce, FCA and Interact and was the Elks Student of the Month.

All-District 23-4A as a senior for coach Ricky Tullos in the Longhorns first season of varsity competition… Led team to a 5-5 finish… Three-year letterman in wrestling, finishing as the district runner-up as a junior… Played rugby on the club level with the Katy Barbarians and was a member of the USA High School All American team that competed internationally in South Africa and Argentina last summer… National Honor Society member.

Joined teammate and fellow Rice signee Cole Hunt to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s All Texas High School second team at the conclusion of the season… Earned All-District 25-3A honors on both offense and defense as well as Victoria Area Lineman of the Year and second-team All-Greater Houston… Credited with 81 pancake blocks and did not allow a sack as a senior… Credited with 64 tackles and five sacks on defense… Academic All-District selection.

Graysen Schantz DE 6-3 240 Hickory Creek, TX (Lake Dallas)
Defensive MVP of District 5-4A as a senior for coach Mike Young at Lake Dallas HS…. All-State honorable mention selection and a finalist for the Dallas-Ft. Worth First Down Club Defensive Player of the Year… Credited with 65 tackles as senior, including 20 for loss (17 sacks) as well as 40 quarterback hurries and three blocked kicks… Finished his career with 150 tackles, including 42 for loss (30 sacks) and 100 hurries… Earned Defensive Newcomer of the Year as a junior… Honorable Mention Academic All State honoree.
