The New York Giants' Chase Blackburn snatches a pass away from New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski during Super Bowl XLVI Sunday in Indianapolis.
New England Patriots stud tight end Rob Gronkowski played in the Super Bowl with multiple torn ligaments in his left ankle.
Gronkowski underwent arthroscopic surgery on his ankle Friday at Massachusetts General Hospital.
The Boston Globe reported the severity of the injury to Gronkowski, who managed only two receptions for 26 yards in the Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants.
Gronkowski was injured during the second half of the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens.
