Aggies celebrate big win
Football fans across the country Saturday watched as the new kids on the Southeastern Conference block took down number one ranked Alabama.
When all was said and done, Texas A&M beat Alabama 29-24.
The story was trending big on Twitter, and engaging many on Facebook.
Fans at the weekly A&M watch party at Pub Fiction in Midtown were thrilled by the win.
"Cannot believe it. We're just ecstatic," a fan said.
"Awesome. That’s all I gotta say," another fan said.
For all Aggies past and present, this win was a long time coming.
"It's been a while since A&M’s been on top. It's been 12 years. Feels good -- greatest day of my life," said one Aggies fan.
The 15th ranked Aggies went into the game as a a two-touchdown underdog, but came out as top dog.
Led by true freshman quarterback Johnny Manziel, Gig 'Em Nation dethroned the defending champs.
"The fact that A&M won just goes to show that sometimes, things work out the way they're supposed to," a fan said.
