ALSEMBERG, Belgium -- U.S. cyclist Lance Armstrong is set to compete in Tuesday's Paris-Camembert single-day race, as his preparations continue for a seventh Tour de France title.
The Texan is also scheduled to ride in the Tour of Flanders on April 3.
Armstrong, 33, hasn't raced Paris-Camembert in three years. He was runner-up in the event in 2000, 13th in 2001 and 75th in 2002.
French rider Laurent Brochard, a two-time winner of the event in 2001 and 2003, is among the favorites.
Armstrong finished 43rd in the Fleche-Brabanconne one-day classic in Belgium on Sunday, the BBC reported on its Web site. Fellow American and Discovery team rider George Hincapie finished sixth. Spaniard Oscar Freire won the 123-mile event in 4 hours, 38 minutes, 56 seconds.
Armstrong dropped out of the Paris-Nice classic earlier this month because of illness, but his team's manager said he has recovered.
