3 reasons the Astros will beat the Yankees in Game 6 of ALCS

HOUSTON – Three reasons the Houston Astros will beat the New York Yankees in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series:

1. Odds makers in Vegas have the Astros as favorites

The line has been set, and the Astros are home favorites in Game 6 of the ALCS. Houston was also the favorite in Games 1, 2 and 5. The Astros did not cover the 1 1/2 line in any of the games. The Astros won Game 1 and Game 2 by the same score, 2-1. Houston lost Game 5.

2. The Astros are unbeaten at home in the 2017 playoffs

Houston beat the Red Sox in Games 1 and 2 before going to Boston to win the series in Game 4. Against the Yankees, The Astros won the first two games of the series at Minute Maid Park by a score of 2-1. If it says anything, the 'Stros are playing good baseball at home this postseason.

3. Justin Verlander is pitching, and he hasn't lost in an Astros jersey

Verlander is unbeaten as an Astro. In the regular season, Verlander won all five of his starts as a member of the team. He also has won three postseason games, one after coming in as a reliever. The Astros traded for Verlander for this exact situation: Keep the season hopes alive.
