Rice Advances to Super Regional

HOUSTON -- The Rice Owls exploded with a six run 4th inning to beat Kansas State, 13-4. The Owls win the Houston Regional, and will play LSU in the Super Regional for the right to go to the College World Series in Omaha.Rice had to fight it's way out of the loser bracket, and won three straight games. "It feels great," catcher Diego Seastrunk said. "In years past, we cruised to the Super Regional, but this year, we had to fight to get our way in, and it feels good."The Owls will travel to Baton Rouge, with the best of three series beginning Friday.
