Trial To Begin For Houston Rocket

HOUSTON -- Jury selection began Wednesday afternoon for a Houston Rocket charged with driving while intoxicated, KPRC Local 2 reported.The trial for point guard Rafer Alston, 32, will be held in Harris County Judge Jean Spradling Hughes' court. Opening statements are expected Thursday morning.Police said the basketball star was pulled over for driving drunk in the 2700 block of Washington Avenue at about 3 a.m. on Aug. 7. He was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.Alston was released on a $500 bond.
