Dr. Barth Green, chairman of the department of neurological surgery at the University of Miami school of medicine who has been consulting with doctors in the case, calls the movement "totally spectacular" news.
Everett sustained a life-threatening spinal cord injury Sunday after ducking his head while making a tackle on the second-half kickoff of the Bills' season opener.
Dr. Green said it's "feasible" Everett could lead a normal life.
