Report: Doctor Says Everett May Walk Again

POSTED: Monday, September 10, 2007
UPDATED: 7:38 pm CDT September 11, 2007

There's great news regarding injured Buffalo Bills tight end Kevin Everett.

He voluntarily moved his arms and legs

Information: Spinal Cord Injuries

That's contrary to the grim prognosis given a day before.

Dr. Barth Green, chairman of the department of neurological surgery at the University of Miami school of medicine who has been consulting with doctors in the case, calls the movement "totally spectacular" news.

Everett sustained a life-threatening spinal cord injury Sunday after ducking his head while making a tackle on the second-half kickoff of the Bills' season opener.

Dr. Green said it's "feasible" Everett could lead a normal life.

Tuesday, prompting a neurosurgeon to say Everett could walk again.
