HOUSTON -- Former President Bill Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea, attended service Sunday morning at one of the largest churches in the nation, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Lakewood Church Pastor Joel Osteen acknowledged the Clintons were in the audience, but encouraged church members to vote for the candidate of their choice.
Bill Clinton held a rally with more than 1,000 supporters of his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, at Mason Park on Houston's east side later in the day.
The Houston Area Stonewall Democrats celebrated their endorsement of Hillary Clinton with an appearance by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom at a club in the Montrose Sunday night.
Volunteers at Barack Obama's campaign office in Houston held a rally with California Rep. Barbara Lee. Local volunteers were also joined by volunteers who came from out of state to canvass door-to-door and work the phone banks for the critical presidential primary in Texas.
