Pet couture is becoming big business, with owners dishing out big bucks for four-legged fashions and accessories, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.

The Dog Bowl, located at 2431 Sunset Blvd. in Rice Village, is an upscale pet store.

It sells limited-edition crystal collars with matching leash for $400.

For those who like to carry their pooch instead, a dog tote can be yours for $565.

But clothing is what really can make pets stand out.

From sweaters to rain coats, clothing can be functional, or just plain fun.

For those who like to travel in style, a pet limo is available from the Pet Palace Resort, located at 14300 Gulfstream Park Drive in Webster. The Pet Palace also pampers four-legged friends with its spa, grooming and boarding services.

If you have lots of green, but are short on green space, check out the Penthouse Potty from Cosmopolitan Canine. It's a 42-square-inch portable yard.

"If it's inconvenient for you to take your dog out, they can actually come out here and do their business," said Stacy Blackard, with Cosmopolitan Canine.

Invented and marketed by three Houston women, the Penthouse Potty has a faux grass drainage system and an "easy emptying tank."

How much green is needed to take it home? It costs about $400.
