Pet Psychics 'Talk' To Radar

Radar: Someone Wears Too Much Perfume

Many pet owners feel that they really know their beloved animals. But what would your pet say if he or she could talk? Local 2 brought in three famous pet psychics to talk to our weather dog, Radar.

They all said Radar has plenty to "say" about his likes, dislikes and his life here at Local 2.

"He likes afternoons and evenings much more than morning," pet psychic Lisa Greene said.

"He's definitely not crazy about baths," pet psychic Myra Logan said.

"Cheese, he particularly loves. He loves cheese," pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said.

The three pet psychics, all of whom are women, say they have the same gift -- the ability to not only hear what animals think, but to actually talk to them.

"He's pushy, but he's allowed to be pushy," Greene said.

Radar had plenty to say to Greene.

"There is one of your anchors that wears a lot of a perfume," Greene said.

The two other psychics said the same thing.

"There is a woman who wears very, very strong perfume. He does not like that," Logan said.

"Very strong perfumes, very strong colognes -- he's not fond of," Fitzpatrick said.

Despite the heavy scent from a certain anchor, Radar apparently said that, in general, he loves being a television star.

"He is the star. He loves it and once more, he's telling me that everybody loves him," Fitzpatrick said.

"He's getting used to what he is doing. He really likes what he is doing," Logan said.

He may like it, but according to the three psychics, he does have a few requests.

"He doesn't like the raincoat," Logan said.

"At night, he wants to be by himself. Let him sleep and he's getting grouchier about it," Greene said.

As for Radar's name, the psychics split.

"He's OK with it. His choice would have been Joe," Logan said.

"He loves his name," Fitzpatrick said.

When it came to his favorite color, the psychics were also not quite on the same page.

"He loves the color red and he says it is his favorite color," Fitzpatrick said.

"Red scares him," Logan said.

All agreed that Radar loves children, loves going out in public and loves his life at Local 2.

But our lovable mutt turned the tables on us with some specific questions of his own.

"He doesn't understand why he's not allowed to smell other dogs, but they're allowed to smell him," Greene said.

"He's asking -- will you be getting any other dogs?'" Fitzpatrick said.

"Any chance you'll get another dog for the station?" Logan said.

Well, probably not, since Radar is certainly more than enough for us to handle.

"He says if you give him a bit of hamburger each time when he does the tricks, he's bartering now, he thinks he could do them so much better, really," Fitzpatrick said.

The psychics also said that if Radar had a voice, he would sound like a good old Texas country boy with a drawl and deep voice.

His favorite toy was the Radar doll that was sold at Foley's over the holidays. He said he wanted one of his very own. So we gave him one.
