Jonathan joined KPRC Local 2 in July 2007. He is the weekend evening meteorologist, weather graphics producer and feature reporter.

He moved to Houston from Miami where he was a meteorologist at WSVN TV. Living in Texas is nothing new to Jonathan since he also worked at KCBD TV in Lubbock. His career and schooling also took Jonathan to Syracuse, N.Y.

But Jonathan calls the Boston area home. He grew up in Canton, MA., headquarters of Dunkin' Donuts. "It's a very exciting town," he joked.

After graduating from Syracuse University with degrees in broadcast journalism and philosophy, Jonathan earned a certification in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.

When asked about the favorite part of his job, Jonathan said, "taking a complicated and potentially boring subject, and making it easy to understand and entertaining."

In his free time, he loves to catch a good movie. In fact, while in Lubbock, Jonathan had a movie review segment called "Don’t Take My Word For It."

Novack also enjoys a great sense of humor. In fact, he used to do stand-up comedy before moving to television, and he opened for Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Wright.

Jonathan keeps busy playing tennis, running, playing the guitar and songwriting. He also enjoys home improvement projects and listening to talk radio.
