Woman's dog bites man who grabs her on Montgomery County bike path

Deputies searching for black man in early 20s

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Police are searching for a man who accosted a woman out walking her dog on a bike path in the area of Sawdust and Sawmill roads Saturday night.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said a man approached the 38-year-old woman from behind and grabbed her forcefully on her shoulder.

Deputies said the woman's dog attacked the man, biting him. The man screamed and ran north on the pathway.

The Sheriff's Office said the woman contacted it after returning to her home and told officials there was blood on the bike path and on the dog's mouth.

Deputies are now searching for a black man, described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds and in his early 20s. He was wearing black jogging pants, a red shirt and black baseball hat.

The Sheriff's Office said it will be adding extra patrols in the area as it investigates the incident.
