FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – A woman was hit by a car and killed late Friday evening, police said.
Friendswood Police say an 18-year-old driver was traveling westbound on FM 528 when she said she hit something. She turned around to check out what she hit, and located the victim's body.

According to the police report, the victim had been walking in the roadway at the time of the accident. The driver called a family member for help and then called police.
No charges are expected to be filed.
