The search is on for a man who police say attacked a woman in her own home in broad daylight.

It happened at around 8:45 Wednesday morning at a home in the 10400 block of Wingtip, near Hobby Airport.

According to police, a 51-year-old woman had just taken a swim and she was walking through her garage when the suspect attacked her.

"He pointed a gun at her and told her to be quiet, so she started yelling for help and he dragged her from the hair inside the house," said Neighbor Rebecca Leal, who talked to the victim after the attack.

Once inside, the victim told police the suspect beat her, tied her up and then demanded money.

"Her face was really beat up and swollen," Leal said.

The victim managed to break free after the suspect fled. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a Hispanic male, armed and wearing all black, including a black ski mask.

Paramedics treated the victim's injuries at the scene.
