HOUSTON -

A Fort Bend County man charged with murdering his wife will be transferred from Houston to Fort Bend County in the coming days, according to the Ft. Bend Co. District Attorney.

Lance Hilton, 45, is charged with murder following the shooting death of his wife, Marian Hilton, on Friday night.

The incident happened about 11:00 p.m., according to investigators, at the family's home on the 15900 block of Ridgerock, an area patrolled by the Houston Police Department, but part of Fort Bend County.

According to a family member, Lance Hilton arrived at his home Friday evening, interrogated a 13-year-old girl about any recent visitors to the house, and then launched downstairs to pursue her mother, Marian Hilton.

Marian Hilton was shot and killed in a first floor rear bedroom, according to police.

The 13-year-old girl and her 11-year-old sister discovered their mother's body moments later after Lance Hilton allegedly left the scene.

Lance Hilton was discovered and taken into custody on Sunday. He had been staying at an undisclosed location according to investigators.

The Hiltons had been married about five years according to a family member.

Lance Hilton was not the father of the two children in the home at the time of the crime. The girls were not hurt during the incident are staying with other family members.

Marian Hilton worked as a medical billing specialist.
Lance Hilton was held Monday in lieu of $150,000 bond.
