Woman robbed, terrorized at fireworks stand

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Some crooks looking to cash in on some fireworks cash ended up with smaller score in northwest Harris County.

Around 1 a.m. Friday, investigators said two crooks walked up to a fireworks stand on East Richey near the North Freeway.

Officials said they wanted to grab as much cash as they could from the cash register, but the owners had already picked it up and taken it to the bank.

Not wanting to leave empty handed, investigators said the crooks grabbed the purse and belongings of the woman who worked at the stand, then took off.
