HOUSTON – A pair of crooks escaped after robbing and stabbing a woman outside a nightclub in north Houston.
It happened at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday while the victim was sitting in her car in the parking lot of a club on Veterans Memorial Drive near West Road, police say.

According to reports, two strangers approached the woman and tried to take her purse. When she struggled, police say one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed her.
The robbers took off running with the woman's bag.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Her name was not immediately released.
