Woman pistol-whipped during home invasion; 2 men wanted, police say

ROSENBERG – Fort Bend County deputies are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of two men accused of being involved in a home invasion robbery around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said they were called to a home in the 10000 block of Reading Road in regard to a robbery.

“There was like cops driving up and down the street speeding, and even going door to door, asking if they seen anything,” said neighbor Brandon Delbosque.

According to police, a Hispanic man knocked on the victim's door and claimed to be a construction worker in need of water.

When the woman opened the door, the man forced his way into the home and struck her in the right eye with a handgun while a second Hispanic man ran into the house behind him and forced her to the floor, police said.

The men held her and secured her hands while she was lying face down on the floor. The men took her upstairs to look for money. After the men found some cash, they left the home.

“It's very scary because a lot of construction does happen around here. This is a nice neighborhood and people are usually very nice. 'Yeah sure. You want some water?' Very caring,” said Delbosque.

The woman said the first man was about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and the other man was wearing a hoodie that covered his face.

Neighbors said paramedics treated the woman outside for injuries to her face, but it appeared she was going to be OK.

“It's a little scary. I have lived here for 6 years,” said neighbor Terry Doig. “I have four dogs in the house and I can protect myself so we're gonna take care of ourselves out here. My dogs were crated. My dogs wouldn't have a reason to bark unless they banged on my door, too,”

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers. All calls are anonymous.
