Woman hurt after 'high-flying' West Loop crash
HPD: Driver's car landed on top of pickup
A woman was hurt after a dangerous crash at Interstate 610/10 split early Friday morning.
When firefighters arrived, a woman was trapped inside her car against the wall.
They pried her out and rushed her to Northwest Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.
Houston police said she was taking the exit ramp from the West Loop to the Katy Freeway, when she hit the rubber barrels that separate the ramps.
Her car went airborne and landed on top of a pickup truck's hood. The truck skidded towards the exit ramp wall launching the woman's car. It landed on top of the wall.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
