Woman hit by wrong-way driving vehicle, officials say

HOUSTON – A woman crossing the street with her husband was hit by a wrong-way driving vehicle, officials said. 

According to authorities, a couple was attempting to cross an unprotected area of South Durham Drive around 11:30 p.m. when a woman driving the wrong-way down Durham Drive struck the man's wife.

Officials said the woman struck was in serious, but stable condition, and was taken to the hospital with her husband who was uninjured.

The woman driving the wrong-way was found not to be intoxicated.

Authorities said both parties were at fault.
