HOUSTON - A woman was flown to a hospital after she suffered severe burns at a home in northwest Harris County.
The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office went to a home in the 12000 block of Cluster Pine about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials said a 65-year-old woman somehow caught fire. When her caregiver arrived at her home, she said she needed to get to the hospital. She was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition with burns over 85 percent of her body.
Investigators said they are not positive if the fire was intentional or accidental.
"She made a statement to the caretaker that she burned herself," said Mitchell Weston of the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.
The woman's home was not set on fire and sustained no damage, officials said.
