Man arrested in deadly stabbing outside southwest Houston medical plaza

Altercation preceded her death, police say

HOUSTON – Police arrested and charged a man in the deadly stabbing of a woman in southwest Houston.

Kenneth Michael Dunn, 54 was arrested Thursday and charged with murder after 38-year-old Dina Corpus Cardenas was found stabbed to death the night before in front of a southwest Houston medical plaza.

Investigators found her body at the Kirby Glen Medical Plaza in the 2400 block of Braeswood Boulevard around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said Dunn and Cardenas got into an altercation in the parking lot of the building around 7 p.m. Police believe that during the fight, Dunn stabbed Cardenas multiple times.

As she tried to run toward the doors of the medical center, she collapsed and died in the parking lot, police said.
Witnesses told investigators Cardenas was heard yelling and a dark-colored SUV was seen leaving the lot right after the stabbing.
