HOUSTON – Houston homicide detectives are trying to figure out how a woman ended up dead in a popular Houston hotel.
Investigators said the woman was found dead by hotel staff inside her hotel room at the Hyatt North Houston hotel in the 400 block of North Sam Houston Parkway near Imperial Valley.

Houston police said a man and woman checked into the hotel sometime Thursday afternoon. The man checked out just before 6 a.m. the next morning, without the woman, investigators said.
Witnesses told police they'd seen the man and woman arguing at some point.
Investigators said employees came into the room to clean up Friday afternoon, but left when they noticed the woman lying on the floor. They came back a little later, only to find the woman still lying on the floor, police said. That's when the employee decided something must be wrong and called police, officials said.
So far, no arrests have been made in the case and the victim's name hasn't been released.
