Woman followed home, robbed

HOUSTON – Police are looking for three men who they say attacked and beat a woman at her own front door Thursday.

Investigators said they were after the woman's purse and apparently knew it was filled with cash.

Houston police said the crooks followed the woman from her bank on the Katy Freeway near Blalock, about six miles to her home on Rip Van Winkle near Frostwood in the Memorial area.

Seong Park has lived in the same house for 16 years. She said she's always felt safe until this happened.

"This guy punched my face, and I still grabbed my purse very tightly and then they put me on the ground," said Park.

Park said the money she'd withdrawn was for two retail businesses she runs. The money was in her purse, and she tried to hang on to it when the men attacked her, but was afraid she'd be hurt.

"I hold my purse more tightly, but I feel like, oh, I better let go," said Park. "They (are) going to beat me more."

Detailed descriptions of the men have not been released.

If you have any information about this case, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
