Woman dies during drunken driving crash, police say

PORTER, Texas – A woman was killed after she was ejected from a vehicle during a drunken driving crash Wednesday in Montgomery County, police said. 

DPS investigators said just after 1 a.m., three women were in a Chevy Malibu when it crashed into a Ford F-150 on FM 1314 and State Highway 99. 

Jacquelyn Pena, 24, was in the backseat of the Malibu and was ejected during the crash. Investigators said Pena was found dead 50 feet away from the vehicle.


The driver of the Malibu, Corina Tijerina, 21, was tested at the scene for alcohol and taken to Kingwood Hospital for a mandatory blood draw. Investigators said she was arrested for intoxication manslaughter. 

The third female in the car, Claudia Riley, 37,  and the driver of the truck, Jose Oyervides, 24, were taken to a hospital. Their condition is currently unknown. 

Police said it is unclear who had the green light.
