SPRING, Texas – A motorcycle officer with the Houston Police Department was taken to the hospital Thursday after being injured in an accident involving an 18-wheeler in Spring.
According to police, the officer was escorting a wide load on Kuykendahl and Elmbrook when the officer was struck by part of the truck.

The officer was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with minor injuries.
