Houston police said Sutherland shoplifted at a Family Dollar store in the 5100 block of Ella Boulevard on Oct. 10.

A store employee saw Sutherland putting items into a bag and tried to stop her from leaving the store, officials said. Sutherland pushed the employee as she ran out the door, investigators said.

Police said Sutherland got into the driver's seat of a Pontiac G6.

The store employee's boyfriend arrived at the store and tried to intervene, officials said. As Sutherland drove away, she hit the employee's boyfriend's arm, investigators said.

The store employee got a partial license plate number and gave that to police. Detectives said they matched it to a stolen vehicle report that Sutherland had filed.

Police said they noticed that Sutherland closely matched the description of the woman provided by the store employee. Sutherland's photograph was put into a lineup and she was positively identified, officials said.

Sutherland has been arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail with bond set at $4,000.
