Woman carrying hammer, high heel accused of assault

HOUSTON – A woman is facing aggravated assault charges after allegedly attacking her uncle's ex-girlfriend.

Court documents state that Shawana Stewart is accused of hitting Linda Reeves with a shoe, while also wielding a hammer. The alleged incident happened April 8 near the 7500 block of N. Main Street.

Reeves was sitting in her car when Stewart approached and swung at her through the open driver's side window with a high heel, according to court records.

Court documents say that a witness in the car with the victim was unsure if Stewart, 40, used the hammer or the shoe as a weapon.

The victim suffered a dislocated finger from the confrontation, according to court records.

Bond has been set at $30,000.
