HOUSTON -

A driver told Houston police that her GPS caused her to get into a rollover crash in Northwest Houston early Thursday morning.

The woman claimed she was driving down West Sam Houston Parkway, and became distracted when her GPS directed her to continue straight on Westview Drive.

According to investigators, she failed to stop at that intersection and ran a red light. Two cars smashed into the side of her SUV, and the impact flipped the vehicle.

Officers said the woman became trapped inside the SUV, and had to wait for emergency responders to rescue her.

Paramedics transported her to the hospital in stable condition.
