According to reports, 54-year-old Deborah Broussard refused to stop and led deputies on a short chase.
Deputies said they saw Broussard reach into the back of her vehicle, and later, during a search of her car, found three syringes loaded with methamphetamine and $38,441 in cash.
Broussard was charged with evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle and jailed in Galveston County on a $50,000 bond.
Deputies said other charges are pending based on an analysis of the liquid in the syringes.
