Woman and boy escape house fire in northwest Harris County

Cause of fire is under investigation

Two people are safe after escaping a house fire in northwest Harris county.

Houston firefighters arrived at home on Hollow Ridge near Cotton Ridge late Friday night to find smoke coming from the two-story house.

According to fire officials, crews went inside and found the fire in the master bathroom on the second floor .

A young boy and a 21-year-old woman made it safely outside. No firefighters were injured.

After the firefighters put out the blaze, the damage was isolated to the bathroom and bedroom, but other areas suffered water damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
