A Harris County woman has been arrested and charged with child endangerment.
Charnae Sterling, 25, is accused of leaving a child unattended near a roadway.
According to court documents, the incident happened on January 11 when police say Sterling was trying to give her 2-year-old daughter away to strangers.
Police say she left her daughter on the side of the road and the girl was almost hit by a vehicle running after her mother.
A witness then flagged down a police officer.
Sterling posted a $2,000 bond. Her next court date is set for February 3.
