A SWAT standoff ended peacefully early Thursday morning in Southwest Houston. The team responded after reports of an armed man holding his girlfriend and her three children hostage.

Police arrived just before 2 a.m. at the apartment complex off Ormandy Street near South Main. SWAT arrived about an hour later. After another hour of waiting, no one heard anything inside, so negotiators decided to make contact.

Korey Donnell Anderson, 28, gave himself up without incident.

Houston police say a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is pending because witnesses saw him with a gun, then assaulting his girlfriend.

We're told Anderson, 28, had two open warrants with Harris County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
