Santa Fe, TEXAS – A woman accused of murdering her husband was taken into custody Saturday night.
Sandra Mohedano was booked Saturday in the Galveston County Jail after investigators say she shot and killed her husband during a fight.

Deputies were called to Avenue M near 32nd Street in an unincorporated area of Santa Fe Saturday morning after receiving reports of a shooting.
When investigators arrived, they found 45 year-old Candido Mohedano with a shotgun wound in his upper chest. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said the two were out with other family members during the evening. However, when the couple arrived home, a fight ensued between the couple, which then led to the shooting.
The cause of the fight is not known at the time.
