White Oak Music Hall gets approval for permanent outdoor stage

HOUSTON – The White Oak Music Hall received a permit to build its outdoor stage, a spokesperson with the Department of Public Works and Engineering confirmed Tuesday.

The concert venue has been a source of controversy in the community since its inception last April. Noise complaints and city ordinances have put a damper on events at the music hall.

Up until now, the owners of White Oak had to apply for a temporary permit, build a temporary stage and then tear down the stage after every performance. This new approval will change that.
