DALLAS - The West Nile Virus has claimed its first victim in Texas this season. A patient in Dallas County has died.

That patient was diagnosed with the West Nile "Neuro-Invasive" disease, the most severe for of the virus.

The latest West Nile mosquito numbers from Harris County show a concentration of mosquitoes testing positive for the virus in the north and northeast parts of Harris County, just southeast of downtown.
